Independently Owned & Operated

Animal Hospitals

We are a small animal practice that has proudly served our community since 1977. As a non-consolidated, independent clinic, we are committed to maintaining a personal connection with our clients and providing exceptional veterinary care tailored to each pet’s unique needs.

Since our founding, we’ve grown from a one-veterinarian operation into a dedicated team of nine doctors and approximately 50 support staff, operating across two thriving locations: Greenbank Animal Hospital (GBAH) and our sister clinic, the Village of Manotick Animal Hospital (VMAH).

Greenbank Animal Hospital was established in 1977 by Dr. Lee James, who purchased a unique property that served both as a family home and a veterinary practice. As demand grew, the building underwent several renovations to expand exam rooms, incorporate modern equipment, and better serve our patients. Today, the facility is fully dedicated to small animal health care, offering comprehensive services in a warm and welcoming environment. Over the decades, several veterinarians have joined the practice as owning partners. The current ownership team—Dr. Jackie Sinclair, Dr. Miki Shibata, Dr. Paige Willis, and Dr. Lucie Vander Byl—remain deeply committed to preserving our roots as an independently operated clinic and supporting the local veterinary community.

Our Values: Compassion, Collaboration & a commitment to excellence in veterinary medicine.

Dedicated to you and
your pets for over

Our Manotick location, originally known as Rideau Animal Hospital, was also established by Dr. Lee James, who purchased the property in 1995 and later built the existing clinic on what was then an empty lot. Now known as the Village of Manotick Animal Hospital, this location complements our Greenbank practice by offering high-quality veterinary care in a more intimate setting.
