Kelly joins the team as our Practice Manager for Greenbank and Village of Manotick Animal Hospitals. Kelly is a life-long animal lover with over 10 years experience in the pet industry and is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario in Business Management. While completing a Masters degree in International Business Management at Kingston University, England, she caught the travel bug and likes exploring new places whenever she can. On weekends she can be found with her husband and daughter enjoying the antics of their Boston terrier, Reuben.
Janice joined our team in 2005 while doing a work placement for her Vet Assistant Program at Algonquin College.Together with her wonderful husband Don, they have raised 2 children (now grown adults) and has now become servants to their two pussycats Ben and Wally (aka Walter B). Janice, originally from P.E.I, returns annually with Don to enjoy the seafood, explore the many beautiful beaches for seaglass and watch endless amazing sunsets. Her hobbies include playing the guitar, sewing, reading, antique hunting, auctions, live theatre, gardening and many quiet gourmet dinners with Don!
Sandy is the hospital manager at the Village of Manotick Animal Hospital and has been with us since 2001. Sandy and her husband have one daughter and one son, as well as a beautiful calico kitty named Purrcilla and a feisty boston terrier cross puppy!
Jo, a long time Barrhaven resident, was a client at Greenbank Animal Hospital for many years before she joined our team. Jo is a big fan of miniature schnauzers and German Shepherds and currently owns a rescued German Shepherd named "Champ". Jo is married and is the proud mother of 3 children.
Adrienne Horsey is one of the first smiles that will greet you as you walk through the front doors on a Saturday morning. Adrienne is a receptionist at Greenbank Animal Hospital. She became part of our team in 2009. Her interests include working out at the gym, spending time with friends, music, cooking, reading and travelling. She has a great love for animals and has one dog and two cats. Rocky is a four and a half year old shepherd mix rescued from a Montreal kill shelter. Although he appears to be a “big” boy he is really a soft cuddly puppy that just wants to please and be with you. He is a shadow that follows her everywhere. One of Adi's cats named Mike was abandoned on our clinic doorstep and Adi was kind enough to take him in and give him a loving home. She also worked diligently to get Mike to lose those extra pounds that he came with.
Debbie has been our dog groomer for too many years to count! Debbie is an owner and breeder of German Shepherds. She also has a sweet female cat named Helen. Debbie always has 1 or 2 foster dogs under her care in addition to her permanent "pack". What many people do not know is that Debbie is also a wonderful singer and an amazing painter.
Lisa is our Lead Receptionist at Greenbank Animal Hospital. Lisa grew up on a hobby farm surrounded by all types of animals, small and large. After spending some years in Toronto, she has recently returned to her country mouse roots and is happily living in a small town with her husband and their wild Rhodesian Ridgeback-Basenji mix, Ody. Lisa’s passions include photography, drawing, baking and anything outdoors!
Brigitte, otherwise known as "B", was for many years a client at Greenbank Animal Hospital before joining our reception team as of August 2015. Brigitte graduated in 2014 as a Veterinary Assistant from Algonquin College. She has a grown up daughter and three adopted cats named Billie, Luca and Jagger.
Sydney started working with us in 2014 at Village of Manotick Animal Hospital after graduating from the Veterinary Assistant program at Algonquin College. In 2018 she moved over to our Greenbank location. She has a rescue cat named Marty McFly who was found abandoned at a McDonalds restaurant. Sydney enjoys going out for walks/runs, hanging out with her friends, reading, and cuddling with Marty!
Michelle has been working at the Greenbank Animal Hospital since 2011. Michelle started at the clinic as a co-op student and has been working at the clinic ever since. She owns a Boston terrier mix named Duke and is currently going through university to become a registered nurse.
Olivia started working at Greenbank Animal Hospital in 2012 as a student. She is currently pursuing post-secondary education at the University of Ottawa to receive a bachelors degree in science. She aspires to be a veterinarian and has 2 cuddly cats named Emerald and Autumn and a rescued dog named Douglas that keeps her busy.
Selina joined the Greenbank Animal Hospital team in August 2016. She is a graduate of the Veterinary Assistant program at Algonquin College and has been working in the Veterinary field since she was 16 years old. Selina lives in a “zoo” with her Abyssinian cat named Mace, two Miniature Dachshunds named Pickle and Pogo, her Husky/Shepherd named Rosie and her Fiancé Denis. Selina enjoys the simple things in life, and you can often find her baking, camping, golfing, and listening to country music.
Sabrina joined our team at Greenbank Animal Hospital at the end of August 2016. She has graduated from the Veterinary Assistant program as well as the Environmental Studies program. When not at work, she can be found at home with her parents and their 2 dogs, 2 cats, 11 birds and 6 fish
This is Shannon and her sweet girl “Maggie” the 90 pound lap dog. Shannon has 2 grown children and one amazing granddaughter who keeps her busy on her days off. Shannon completed an online course for vet assistant through Ashworth College. She loves spending days surrounded by all the furry friends at the hospital.
Here is Chelsea with her two lovable monsters Oliver the Australian Shepherd and Abby the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Chelsea has always had a passion for working with animals. Chelsea got the chance to work as a veterinary assistant caring for sick patients in the emergency/ICU department of a 24 hour hospital. Her passion for caring for animals only grew. Once she moved to Barrhaven Chelsea started to work as a Veterinary Assistant at Greenbank Animal Hospital. She does hope to go back to school to further her knowledge in the veterinary field.
Aidan grew up in North Bay, Ontario, always surround by lots of animals. Aidan and her boyfriend adopted their dog Rhea from the humane society in 2015. Aidan came to Ottawa for school and has been here for 8 years now. She graduated from the Veterinary Assistant program earlier this year and is loving her position at the clinic.
